36 weeks :)

36 weeks!! I am officially the most pregnant I have ever been! This is a huge milestone for me, and I am so relieved. Every day that the baby is cooking in my womb is huge, and I am very excited. My doctor's appointment went very well today. No protein in my urine, and my blood pressure was 120/80. I'm nervous it is going to creep up, but it has stayed roughly between 115-125/70-80 this whole pregnancy, so I am still within my normal range. The doctor measured me today, and he said "you've got a big baby." Not surprised there. Connor was 6 lbs 13 oz at 35 weeks 4 days! I did test positive for the Group B Strep though. Bummer! It isn't a huge deal apparently, according to my doctor. He said that they will administer the antibiotics, and it will be fine. If that is my only problem, I will be thrilled. The contractions have been pretty rough this time! I didn't have them with Connor, so it is definitely different. Adam doesn't seem to really understand, but they are painful! Doctor told me today that if I have regular contractions and/or my water breaks to go to Labor and Delivery, obviously. He joked today that I probably won't make it to 39 weeks. I am sure I will though! I hope so! Please continue prayers for Austin and Me! I appreciate the support, prayers, and love!

How far along?: 36 weeks.
Sleep: Still sleeping okay, but up to pee a lot!
Best moment this week: Going to the beach and celebrating Connor's 2nd birthday! We had such a good time. Then, my doctors appointment went really well today. :)
Movement: He is crazy! Adam and I just sit amazed at how my stomach looks like there is a shark in there.
Symptoms: Headaches, contractions, full bladder, aches, pains, etc etc.
Food cravings: I've been loving some ice creaaaam. Mint choc chip to be exact.
Food aversions: I cannot stomach vegetable juice.
Gender: My sweet Austin. Boy :)
Labor Signs: Contractions here and there & lots of pains.
Belly Button in or out?: What belly button?
What I miss: Being able to sleep in any position I want without a pillow under my giant tummy.
What I am looking forward to: D-Day
Weekly Wisdom: Drink as much water as you can stand. It keeps the swelling down :)
Milestones: Austin is probably measuring about 19.5 inches and weighs about 6.6 pounds (or more). Doctor told me today that he is a big baby. Not surprised!
My milestone is this week! I am officially the most pregnant I have ever been! :)

35 weeks!

35 weeks. This is the week that I had Connor. So far so good. Of course I am paranoid, but I'm trying to stay very positive. I pray every day that we make it to 39 weeks. Next week will be my huge milestone, and I will update after my appointment on Monday. Pray for us please! I am still feeling pretty good. I sleep well at night thanks to my crazy toddler. I have been getting crazy Braxton Hicks though, and I never got them with Con. Ouch! Weight gain has been very steady, so I haven't gained much the past few weeks. I have put on way less than I did with Connor at this point, and my pre-pregnancy weight was lower as well. I drink water constantly, and I've been eating very healthily. I still have aches and pains in my back, but I'm not surprised considering the size of my belly! I could seriously tip over, lol. I don't have a whole lot to update this week, but I will surely keep ya posted after my apt next week :)

How far along?: 35 weeks.
Sleep: I've actually been sleeping very well. I can thank Connor for wearing me out during the day!
Best moment this week: It's been an over all good week. I am looking forward to the weekend!
Movement: He has been moving a lot this week! I am pretty sure he hit a huge growth spurt, and he now "swims" around.
Symptoms: Headache, back pains, tiredness, feeling HUGE.
Food cravings: Watermelon :)
Food aversions: No real aversions, but I prefer fruits and veggies over junk.
Gender: BOY! Sweet Austin :)
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks like crazy.
Belly Button in or out?: flat. lol
What I miss: Not having to pee every 4 minutes.
What I am looking forward to: Celebrating my big 2 year old this weekend!
Weekly Wisdom: Drink as much water as you can stand. It keeps the swelling down :)
Milestones: he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at almost 6 lbs. Though, Connor was born this week and was almost 7 lbs!

Connor is TWO!

I can't believe that Friday we will be celebrating Connor's SECOND birthday! My baby boy is about to be 2. What's crazy, is that I am in the 35th week of my pregnancy with Austin. I had Connor at 35 weeks 4 days. Friday I plan to take Connor out to the park, and then when Adam gets home we are going to do presents, cake & ice cream. Saturday, we are really going to celebrate Connor's birthday, and we are going to the beach for the day! I haven't been updating much on Connor since I've been blogging about the pregnancy. It's hard enough updating once/week! I pretty much keep everyone updated on facebook. Connor is hilarious, polite, adorable, and just a big goof. He really loves animals, his ride on cars, Mickey Mouse and anything outdoors. He will spend all day outside if we let him, which I usually do. He will play in the water spigot all day! I would much rather him be outside all day than sitting him in front of the t.v. Though, it is hard on me at this point in my pregnancy, trying to go in and out. Rainy days actually make me a little happy. I feel guilty saying that! He does love to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the new show Henry Hugglemonster (which I think is adorable). If I need a break, I turn on the t.v... guilty! Connor is starting to just talk sentences. This morning at the park, he walked up to this little boy and had a conversation. It was crazy. He is so polite, and I'm really proud of that. If he wants something, he will say "please and thank you" without me asking. He says "Please!" "Thank you Mommy." He is really good about saying sorry too, even if he didn't do anything. The little boy this morning ran into Connor almost knocking him over, and Connor said "Sorry." He says his prayers, well, he says "amen." It is the most adorable thing ever. He also says "Luhh you" a lot. My all time favorite of course. It is really hard to believe that 2 years have flown by so fast. These have been the best 2 years of my life. The hardest, most challenging, most rewarding, most loving, best 2 years of my life. :) Connor waits for Adam to get home at night and then wrestles with him. Connor is Adam's biggest fan for sure. He is obsessed, and I love it! I can't wait to have 2 little boys :) Happy Second Birthday my love. I am so amazed at the little person you have become and are becoming!

34 weeks!

34 weeks. Phew. This feels like a milestone, but 36 weeks will be my big milestone. I had Con at 35 weeks 4 days, and I really want to make it all the way to 39 weeks when my C-section is scheduled. I had my doctor's appointment today. It went great. I was there last Thursday as well b/c I had headaches and dizziness. It went away though, and my doctor thinks it is due to my allergies this season. Or, just the fact that I'm getting really anxious as May approaches. Still, I was worried for obvious reasons. My blood pressure was 118/70 last week and 116/70 today. Those are actually the lowest it has been this whole pregnancy, so I'm praying it stays that way, and these headaches subside. I read that it could mean high bp, but it can also just be due to being big, uncomfortable, and poor posture. Anyway, I'm enjoying my pregnancy and hoping things continue to go smoothly. Today, the doctor also told me that Austin is laying sideways. That would explain a lot of the pain in my sides when he kicks. It doesn't matter how he is laying since I am having a C-section though. I'm hoping these next 5 weeks fly by. We are ready for Austin. I'm waiting for his coming home outfit in the mail, and his bassinet should be here this week or next week :) Anyway, not much more to report!

How far along?: 34 weeks.
Sleep: It's not too bad. I get up to pee a lot b/c I drink over 100 oz of water/day.
Best moment this week: Doc apt today. 34 week appointment and everything is still great.
Movement: He rolls and gets those feet stuck. Hurts! We learned that he is laying sideways today! Ouch.
Symptoms: Headache, back pains, tiredness, feeling HUGE.
Food cravings: Nothing in particular.
Food aversions: No real aversions, but I prefer fruits and veggies over junk.
Gender: BOY! Sweet Austin :)
Labor Signs: Nothing yet. Doc checked today when he did the GBS test, and obviously there isn't any progress. No big deal. I REALLY want to make it to 39 weeks!
Belly Button in or out?: flat. lol
What I miss: Putting my shoes on easily.
What I am looking forward to: May 21st :)
Weekly Wisdom: Inform your doctor of any worries, but try to remember that everything is "normal" in pregnancy.
Milestones: Austin is about 5 ½ lbs and measuring about 17 ½ inches. That's crazy to me!

33 weeks!

6 weeks from tomorrow is my C-section date! SIX weeks. That is crazy to me! 2 1/2 weeks from today is when I delivered Con. It scares me, and every time I get a headache (thanks allergies), feel light headed, or just feel off, I panic. It is hard because the signs of pre-eclampsia can mimic any "normal" symptoms of pregnancy, but I check my bp a couple of times a week at CVS. I know that the machines aren't always super accurate, but it has proven to be pretty accurate up to this point. I have also not been swelling at all. My wedding rings fit loosely and I can still see the bones in my feet/hands. My face looks more round, but that is probably partly attributed to the weight gain. Which is 31. Tragic, but less than I had gained with Connor at this point, and I've been really good with my nutrition. Last week was pretty uneventful. Adam worked late, and Connor and I had a lot of errands to run. Saturday, Adam had a CHL class all day, and Sunday he had to go in to work for a little while. He has to work again this Saturday too. Recruiting duty is such a drag. I'm fine with the uneventful-ness though b/c I needed a break. I ordered a pair of nursing pjs, a nursing gown, a robe from Gap for the hospital, and new parts to my breastpump last week too. Kinda splurged a little bit, but I mean, I think I deserve a couple pairs of nursing pjs. LoL. I also registered at the hospital & started to pack my and Austin's hospital bag! I am trying to be more prepared for the expected & unexpected. Last time I was not prepared at all with a hospital bag. Granted, I was admitted to the hospital unexpectedly, but I should have been more prepared. Anyway, nothing too exciting going on this week. Next week I have an appointment, so I might have more to write :) til' next time..

 How far along?: 33 weeks.
Sleep: I've been sleeping pretty well still. I have to pee a lot, but I drink a ton of water.
Best moment this week: just hanging with my Con. Soaking up these last few weeks of just us.
Movement: He rolls and gets those feet stuck. Hurts!
Symptoms: Heartburn, movement.
Food cravings:  Watermelon.
Food aversions: No real aversions, but I prefer fruits and veggies over junk.
Gender: BOY!
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks are pretty rough this time around, but nothing serious.
Belly Button in or out?: flat. lol
What I miss: not having back pain!
What I am looking forward to: May 21st :)
Weekly Wisdom: Enjoy your pregnancy and try not to worry about the "what ifs."
Milestones: Austin is a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening.

32 weeks!

32 weeks! My doctor's office is considering me 32 weeks today, and I'll take it! My doctor's appointment went well today. Everything is still looking great, I didn't gain any weight from last appointment 3 weeks ago (thank the good Lord), and we scheduled my c -section date. Austin's birthday is to be on May 21, 2013 :) I am just praying so hard to God that this is, in fact, when his birthday will be. Connor came too early at 35 weeks 4 days, and I want Austin to be a full term baby.  It is scheduled for 12 noon, and I just know I'm going to be starving. haha, but 12 noon sounds good to me. I'll have the afternoon to recover and in to the night. I'm beginning to go to the doctor every 2 weeks now, so my next appointment will be April 15th! I will continue to keep everyone updated, and please keep me and Austin in your prayers! They have been working thus far :):)

How far along?: 32 weeks.
Sleep: I've been sleeping pretty well the past few nights.
Best moment this week: Doctor's appointment today. Knowing all is going well so far & scheduling the c- section :)
Movement: He rolls.
Smptoms: Oh I duno... this giant ball I'm carrying in my belly, back pain, heartburn... the list goes on.
Food cravings: Watermelon.
Food aversions: No real aversions, but I prefer fruits and veggies over junk.
Gender: BOY!
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks are pretty rough this time around, but nothing serious.
Belly Button in or out?: flat. lol
What I miss: tying my shoes!
What I am looking forward to: May 21st :)
Weekly Wisdom: Listen to your body. If you feel like you are pushing yourself too far, you probably are.
Mlestones: Austin is probably over 4 lbs by now and about 18 inches long.
