Tomorrow I will be 14 weeks, so I'm rolling it all into one post. I would have posted last week, but we were in the hospital with our sweet Connor. He has RSV, and let me tell ya, that is an awfully mean virus! My poor baby was so sick. He had diarrhea, fever, vomiting, cough, runny nose, trouble breathing. You name it, he had the symptom. We spent Monday through Wednesday in the hospital, and then we got to be home for Thanksgiving! :) However, I was miserable because I quickly got sick as well. It is impossible to avoid an illness when all you do is comfort and snuggle your sick baby. I wouldn't have it any other way though! It sucks being pregnant and sick. I can't take anything for it, and benadryl is out of the question because I have to keep up with my toddler who quickly went back to being busy busy busy! We had his follow up doctor's visit today, and she told me that RSV usually lasts 2 weeks. Ugh, but he is doing much better and back to his Connor ways :)
I had my appt Nov. 16th, and all was great! My doctor pulled out the U/S machine incase we didn't hear the baby's heartbeat, but we didn't need it. Within about 30 seconds, we heard that sweet heartbeat at 147! Such a beautiful sound! I get an U/S next Monday when I go see the specialist for my consultation. At first, I was upset that I had to go see a specialist. I thought, "really?! I'm 24, and I'm healthy," but I quickly reminded myself that I want to take every precaution that I can take. :) Every pregnancy is different, but I'd rather the doctors be overly cautious than not at all. I'm excited to see my baby again! I wonder if they'd be able to determine the sex.. 14 almost 15 weeks? Hm, I may ask. Anyway, here is the survey for week 14. Can't believe I'm already 14 weeks tomorrow!

Weekly
Wisdom: Rest rest rest. If you don't feel well, rest. The house can wait.
Milestones:
This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown,
grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his
facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one
expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he
releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up
until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now,
you may even catch him sucking his thumb.
In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon
— and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head,
which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his
arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his
body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to
develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over
his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that
it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the
production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches
and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure
about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.
