Yeah, 5 weeks have passed & I haven't updated, but we have been without a computer! Finallly we bought a new one today, and here I am! :) Well, obviously I took the glucose screen test, and when I took that my doctor also tested for my platelet count. I passed the glucose tolerance test, AND my platelets are normal. Right now they are at 151,000. Normal is 140,000-400,000. Last time, my platelets were about 130,000 at this time. So, they are low end normal, but they are NORMAL. My doctor isn't concerned. I haven't been swelling yet either. I drink tons and tons of water, and I avoid food that has a lot of sodium. If I am busy all day long, then yeah, I will notice my wedding rings feel a little bit tighter, and my feet look a little rough, but it goes away as soon as I put my feet up and drink more water. My blood pressure has been remaining consistently low. At my 3D ultrasound it was 110/62. I can remember it being a lot higher this time last pregnancy because when I went in to get my results from the glucose test, they took my BP twice b/c it was high the first time. I am praying I don't get pre-eclampsia this time, but I know it is something we will have to just wait and see about. Weight gain is annoying. I am at +30 right now, but I am very aware of what I put in my body, so I know I'm not just eating crappy food and that's where it is coming from. In fact, Adam and I invested in a Juicer! We love it, and I feel great being able to juice and get tons of nutrients to Austin quickly. We finally finished Austin's nursery as well! Honestly, we finished about as quick as we started which was last week. Haha. Mom and Kristen helped me make Austin's bedding, so I had to wait until they got here. I got a sewing machine for Christmas, but I kept thredding it wrong, so Mom came and helped me figure it all out. I am so excited about that.
We had my family visit March 20-25. My mom, Kristen, and my nephew Finn flew in on Wednesday, and then Friday Bonnie, Daryl, and my niece Camryn surprised me!! It was awesome. It was a very full house, but awesome. :) Connor LOVED Finn. I was nervous about how he would be with me and Adam holding the baby, but he didn't care. He cared more when Adam held Finn, which is honestly a good thing b/c I can't be breastfeeding while Connor is yanking on me. haha But, Connor would grab Finn's bottle for him and help him drink it, give him his paci, play with him. It's so cute. I just know he is going to make such an awesome big brother! He kissed my belly the other day for the first time too. He knows there is a baby in there, but I don't know if he really gets it. He will soon enough though! As soon as everyone left, we all got colds. Yuck. We are still fighting them off, but hopefully the weather will clear it up.
In Connor news, he is almost TWO! I cannot believe that my little baby boy is almost two years old. He is such a boy. 150% all boy. For example, tonight he was riding one of his little ride on toys through the 'hood. Barefoot, in a diaper, and just pushing a long. When we got to one of the hills in the 'hood, he just took off. He wanted to see how fast he could go and had this HUGE grin on his face when Adam finally caught up to him. It's a wonder he didn't flip off of the thing! He did this for about 30 minutes, and then Adam noticed a gash on his toe. Yeah, dripping blood off of his foot, and he didn't even notice it or he just didn't care. He is crazy, and I love it. He has this awesome, huge, crazy personality that makes me and Adam crack up every day. He is still obsessed with his daddy, and he has a newfound love for Mickey Mouse. Kiki and Shout from the Fresh Beat Band have been pushed aside for the time being! I will post some pics soon! :)
How far along?: 31weeks 4 days.
Sleep: Insomnia hit right at 31 weeks. It is partly because Austin decides to roll around right when I lay down for bed. Not to mention I get up 100 times/night to pee.
